
The roots of the Group go back to 1968, when Dennis Allen started transacting business from his home in Twickenham. Tony Allen joined his father in 1971 and the company began trading as Allen & Allen in 1975.
Constantly evolving to meet the demands of the insurance industry, the Group grew quickly with new ventures being undertaken along the way and many of these have concentrated upon providing non standard cover to those deemed "high risk" by competitors.
Loyalty, tradition and modernisation

Throughout all subsequent change, the Group has stayed loyal to its traditional broking values and the mantra of treating every customer as an individual. This has been maintained as personal contact, telemarketing and, more recently, the Internet have all been adopted as methods through which to best serve the public.
The strong relationships that have been built up over almost 40 years, with a range of insurers, allow the Group to offer its clients an unrivalled service; all of which was rewarded when the Group was named BIA Personal Lines Broker of the Year in 2004 and when it picked up a Best Use of E-Business award in 2005.
